Saint Brigid’s Shrine & Well Faughart

Saint Brigid’s Shrine & Well Faughart is situated 5km from Dundalk town on the hill of Faughart. There are remnants of a hill fort from the Iron age at the site as well as an early Christian ecclesiastical foundation and a Norman motte-castle and ruins of a medieval church. There is also a graveyard and it is here that you will find Saint Brigid’s Well.
