About

The Irish Agricultural Museum is proud to be a premier cultural institution within the Southeast region of Ireland. The Museum opened its doors as a non-trading co-operative in 1976 and throughout the last three decades has grown exponentially in extent and reputation. Structural renovation, exhibition development and the active, systematic collection of artefacts ensure that the Museum is growing and moving forward all the time. The Irish Agricultural Museum showcases exhibitions of country life and displays a vast array of artefacts relating to a bygone era. The collections include carts, ploughs, country dressers and sugan chairs. A number of exhibitions focus on farming and the activities of the farmyard, which tell the stories of the changes and technological advances in farming. In the Transport exhibition they have beautifully restored farm and rural carts with a comprehensive display of the Ferguson tractor system.
