Commons' Clay Café is a Paint Your Own Pottery Studio & Restaurant located in Claremorris, County Mayo. The restaurant serves meals and snacks that emphasize quality food, fresh ingredients, and friendly service. Their relaxed atmosphere is both adult and child friendly. Meals are available throughout the day starting with breakfast (see menu). Or drop by for coffee & dessert. Takeaway is also available. The pottery side of the café allows children and adults to express their creative side, spend quality time with friends and family, and create a unique item for themselves or for gifts. Pottery Painting is available 7 days a week on a drop-in basis — no bookings required! Bookings are available for Birthday parties or large groups and birthday cakes can be custom ordered. A wide range of “bisque” items (unpainted white pottery) provide the “canvas” on which you can create your own unique items. Everything from dishes to wall tiles, children’s banks to keepsake boxes, mugs to photo frames are available for painting. Paint Your Own Pottery offers an enjoyable and relaxing way to spend some time on your own, with your children, or in a group. It is ideal for birthday parties, art sessions with your children, special occasion gifts, or creating keepsakes (i.e. personalized plates to commemorate a wedding, christening, communion, etc). Keepsakes can also be created for you by Commons' Clay Café’s artists. For adults they offer a great location for hen nights, mums night out, Christmas parties, and other gatherings.
