Avondale House and Forest Park

This house was the home of Charles Stewert Parnell (1846 – 1891). This Georgian house was built in 1777 and is found in the stunning forest park that stretches over 500 acres. There is plenty of wild life and plant life to be found in the park as well as some exotic trees. There is also a picturesque river running through the park. Other facilities include a bookshop, picnic area, restaurant and children’s play area.
