About

The Club welcomes learners and swimmers at all stages of development. 'Learn to Swim' sessions are available for children from the age of three. Working in line with the ASA National Teaching Plan, they will help your child have fun getting used to the water, understanding safety in the pool and gradually learning different swimming strokes. They also encourage the achievement of different swimming milestones. Their 'Badge Days' allow swimmers to take pride showing off their skills. They also participate in the 'Teletots League' which involves gala competitions against other clubs, with children as young as seven competing for the Club over a distance of 25m. It's great fun and really encourages team spirit - in what can be a very individual sport. Older swimmers compete as a team in the 'Provincial Towns League' as well as Open Galas where they aim to win events either as individuals or as part of a club relay team. Everyone enjoys the end of term 'Splash Days' when mums and dads can get into the pool as well. The Club also organises social and fundraising events throughout the year giving everyone the chance to get to know each other better as well as raising much-needed funds for the Club. They end of year Club galas are very popular too - giving all their swimmers the opportunity to race for medals and trophies.
