There’s nothing like having that first photo of your baby, fresh out of the womb, to look back on. You’re exhausted but glowing, your baby is taking its first breaths, and the wonder of childbirth is immortalised in that one simple picture.

Of course, one thing that it’s usually lacking is glamour – and this has been proven in the best way by a photo doing the rounds on Facebook.

The team behind Bubs Warehouse International took to Facebook this past week, to share the REAL story behind those ‘first moments’ photos.

In the foreground of the photo is a nurse, still wearing her scrubs and mask, a crying newborn in her arms. It’s pretty much your typical newborn hospital photo – until you cop sight of what’s in the background: namely, the new mother, legs splayed, lying on the hospital bed.

The oh-so-perfect caption reads: “Some people are in such a hurry to put the picture of Baby on Facebook, they just forget some things before posting.”

The hilarious photo has garnered plenty of attention and some epic reactions on the social media site.

“This happened to me with my son,” wrote one fellow mother, adding in a string of laughing-face emojis.

“My mum did the picture of my son on the weighing table, all focused on him, not realising, and put it on Facebook. Yep, I was in the photo!”

It seems this has been a widespread issue across the board! Indeed, another added: “Oh my God, this actually was my mum. She got camera-happy in the delivery room – beautiful newborn baby, and completely forgetting my [vagina] was out. Thankfully, it didn’t make Facebook – it did get printed out at the photographer’s, though.”

Others were not so amused by the photo, however, believing that the move showed a total lack of respect for the new mother.

“Disgusting!” wrote one follower. “There’s no thought, consideration or respect for the poor lady lying on the bed who’s just given birth.”

Others, meanwhile, made sure to tag their other halves as they promised NEVER to make the same mistake!

Well, what’s your verdict, mums? Would you be able to forgive a slip-up like this?!
