When it comes to make-up, having red hair can make things a little bit trickier than if you had brown or blonde.

However, if you keep in mind these five beauty tips you will look not only look stunning, but you will compliment your hair colour rather than drown it out.

Foundation

Avoid going for a foundation that has an orange hue or is particularly thick. Opt for a lightweight texture sticking with your natural skin tone to avoid looking exceptionally orange.

Mascara
When it comes to mascara you will need to skip the dark black shades and instead go for a deep brown. Avoid any clumps by only applying one or two coats.

Eyeliner
When it comes to eyeliner, just like the mascara, you will need to go for a dark or light brown or even a navy. Black will look too harsh and very unnatural so stay clear of it if possible.

Eyeshadow
Stick with peach colours and browns during the day and opt for a plum shade in the evening. Depending on the colour of your eyes you can use greens or blues.

Blush
Avoid going for anything too bright or too in your face. Your hair will clash with pink so go for deeper tones instead like a redish berry or a deep crimson. Don’t go overboard with it though no matter what colour you use.
