Meghan Markle has announced her first solo project as a member of the royal family and it is so incredibly empowering.

The Duchess of Sussex will support a new charity cookbook, Together: Our Community Cookbook to support the Hubb Community Kitchen.

The Hubb Community Kitchen is a group of women who cook together after being displaced following the Grenfell tower fire.

The group work together to produce fresh food for their loved ones in the kitchen at the Al-Manaar Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre.

Cooking together helped the women develop strong bonds and bring their community closer together during their time of need. Together, the group of women began to connect, heal and look forward.

Kensington Palace revealed the Duchess of Sussex first visited the kitchen in January and has continued to make regular private visits. “United by their passion for cooking as a way of strengthening communities, The Duchess was inspired by how the project empowers women at a grassroots level.”

Kensington Palace confirmed that profits from the sales of 'Together' will support the Hubb Community Kitchen. The funds will help them keep the kitchen open for seven days a week.

The Duchess of Sussex couldn’t have chosen a more empowering or worthy cause for her first solo project.
