Movie Magic: 20 award-winning baby names for your tiny tot

We are the throes of award season and we are loving it! So many incredible movies are being celebrated this month, that us mums are BOUND to find some baby-name inspo.

From actors to the characters they play, here are 20 baby names- 10 for girls and 10 for boys- inspire by award season 2020!

For your award-winning little woman:

Adelina – this is the name of the leading female character from The Missing Link, a film nominated for an Oscar for best animation and who also received a Golden Globe this year.

Charlize – after Charlize Theron for her depiction of Megyn Kelly in Bombshell.

Dakota – after Dakota Fanning who plays Lynette Fromme in the Oscar-nominated blockbuster, Once Upon a Time...in Hollywood.

Florence - after Florence Pugh, who was nominated for her performance as Amy in Little Women.

Judy – after Judy Garland,  the legend played by Renee Zelwegger in the Oscar-nominated film.

Kayla – after Oscar-nominated Margot Robbie’s character Kayla Pospisil from Bombshell.

Margo – after Margot Robbie herself, who is up for the Oscar for best actress in a supporting role, for her portrayal of Kayla Pospisil in Bombshell.

Renee – after Renee Zelwegger who won a Golden Globe this year.

Saoirse – after our own Saoirse Ronan who is nominated for her 4th Academy Award this year.

Scarlett – after Scarlett Johansson who has been nominated for the Oscar for her role in Jojo Rabbit.

Al – after Al Pacino who has been nominated for ‘best actor a supporting role’ for his performance in The Irishman.

Antonio - after Antonio Banderas who is nominated for an Oscar for ‘best actor in any motion picture’ for his performance in Pain and Glory.

Brad – after Brad Pitt, of course. Mr Pitt is nominated for best actor in a supporting role for his depiction of Cliff Booth in Once Upon a Time...in Hollywood.

Jonathan – after Jonathan Pryce, the Welsh-born actor who is up for best actor for his role in The Two Popes.

Link – Mr Link is one of the main characters from this year’s Golden Globe winner for ‘best motion picture- animated’, The Missing Link.

Phoenix – after Joaquin Phoenix, who is up for an Academy Award this year for his role as the Joker, and who also won a Golden Globe for the same role!

Quentin – after Quentin Tarantino who is nominated for his direction of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Taron – After Rocketman star, Taron Egerton, who won a Golden Globe for ‘best actor in a motion picture - musical or comedy’.

Todd – after Todd Phillips who is up for the Academy Award for ‘best director’ for his work on Joker.
