A woman from Argentina knew she was going to give birth to a big baby, but was shocked when her little girl arrived at an incredible 14lbs and measured 54cm in length.
The youngster, who is called Olivia, has been dubbed ‘super baby’ after she set a new record at the Cipolletti Clinic in the southern Argentine province of Rio Negro.
Little Olivia was delivered via Caesarean and is currently under supervision as she has low blood sugar levels. Thankfully, however, she is said to be in a stable condition and doing well.
Her mum Maria Fernanda Basly is also said to be in good health and, according to local media reports, just wants to take her daughter home.
Big babies are not that unusual, however: In 2013, Joel Brandon, who was dubbed America’s biggest baby of 2013, was born weighing a whopping 14lbs and a year later baby Mia arrived in Colorado at 13lbs 13oz.
Wow, Maria and all those other mums really are superwomen!
