Newborn photo shoots have become very popular and are the perfect opportunity to capture your little one’s first days of life.

We’ve seen lots of gorgeous newborn photo shoots online, from adorable babies snoozing in baskets, to tiny tots posing with the family pet or dressed up in a beautiful outfit.

So, needless to say, the stakes are high when you’ve paid for a professional photographer to create a beautiful memory to last a lifetime.

One Californian mum thought she had the perfect newborn photo shoot set up. She had her hair and makeup done, her best dress on, a professional photographer behind the camera, and her adorable baby sleeping soundly in her arms.

Sounds like the perfect photo set-up, right? Except for this…while the photographer sorted out the lighting, and the mum perfected her poses, the baby felt the call of nature!

While the mum thought the baby might need “a food break”, the baby was more in need of a toilet break!

The baby, who was was naked for the shoot, suddenly let loose a torrent of pee and projectile poo all over the mum’s arm, dress and the floor. Oh well, it happens to every mum at some stage!

Luckily, professional newborn photographer Ana Brandt is used to dealing with such crises and continued to shoot while her assistant wiped away the poo.

“Sorry about this!” the mum apologised, but Ana reassured her, saying, “Oh no, it’s fine, we wash everything!”

After some initial embarrassment, the mum also saw the funny side of it, and the shoot went on, resulting in some really beautiful photos.

After posting a video of the mishap to her photography page Baby Belly Love by Ana Brandt, Ana shared a beautiful photo of the family together. “And to our gorgeous family...we love you and so glad we got the shots,” she wrote.

The video has had over 350K views so far, and lots of mums have left comments saying they had similar experiences.

Mum Nicole revealed that she had a similar mishap: “I had a projectile that bad, and worse, it shot across my living room.” While another mum said: “This is why I didn't want to take any without the nappy!”
