Is it teething time for your little one?

With so many apps and tablet games available to occupy our children, sometimes it’s nice to get right back down to simplicity, and that’s what today’s craft tip is all about. Looking to create some beautiful wall art for the playroom or a bedroom? We have a quick, simple and fun suggestion.

What you will need:

  • An empty soft drink bottle
  • A tube or pot of coloured and black acrylic paint
  • A paper plate
  • A paintbrush
  • Paper

Method:

  1. Using your paintbrush and black paint, draw a simple tree silhouette on some blank white paper
  2. Squeeze some coloured paint into a paper plate
  3. Carefully dip the end of the drink bottle into the coloured paint, making sure to coat the ‘flower shaped’ ends well
  4. Press the bottle end onto the branch ends on your drawing, making sure to leave a full print on the design
  5. Repeat the steps until you have a full, blooming tree, and leave to dry
  6. Frame the picture and hang to add a burst of floral colour to your walls
