We love a creative baby announcement, and what this dad did to share the news of his daughter’s birth is one of the sweetest things we have ever seen.

Welsh man Sion Tomos Owen, who is a cartoonist, decided to give his newborn daughter Eira an artsy welcome into the world this week.

Apparently drawing inspiration from Pinterest, the doting dad placed his little bundle on a rug, surrounded by the symbols of her birth.

As well as a clock with her birth time, a measuring tape of her height, a dumbbell of her weight, and a newspaper from the day, Sion included a snowflake to represent the meaning of ‘Eira’, which means ‘snow’ in Welsh.

“Sion and Becky Productions are proud to present our original homemade creation…Eira Lily Owen, born at 3:31am on Tuesday, 29th September 2015, weighing 7lb 14.5oz and 52cm long,” the proud father wrote on Facebook.

Paying tribute to his wife, Sion added: “My wife is ‘ard as nails and typically punctual, delivering in 2.45 hours. Both are doing exceptionally well. Becky is the most beautiful and wonderful mother.”

What a lovely idea for sharing your joyful news.
