The Sensory Friendly Show opens Riverdance to new audiences such as those with autism, those with a learning disability, those with a sensory predisposition and people who may have accessibility requirements. With all the magic of Riverdance, presented in an accessible way, everyone can experience the show in a safe, relaxed and non-judgmental environment. It will be an enjoyable family experience as it is suitable for children aged 3 and older.
This will be the first time that Riverdance will present a sensory friendly performance.
Dedicated quiet spaces will be available in the theatre and there will be trained staff on hand. A show specific visual guide will be provided for those who request it.
The show is suitable for the general audience with lighting and sound modified to accommodate sensory differences.
Each summer Riverdance partners with a charity for its summer run at the Gaiety Theatre and this year’s charity is AsIAm - Ireland's National Autism Charity. The sensory friendly performance is a major part of this partnership. Profits from this show will go to support the work of AsIAm.
