Patricia Harris from York in the USA, said she was overjoyed, after discovering that photos of her late infant son were returned to her by the thief, who stole them originally.

Patricia discovered that her purse was stolen from her car and sent out an appeal to the robber asking them to return her memory card, which contained over 500 images of her late son, Cole.

The mother of four placed fliers all around her neighbourhood and even posted about the theft online. She explained that she didn’t realise her purse was missing till she had settled her children in the house.

“Having to get four children settled is a handful. I realized I didn't have my purse. When I went back to the car to get it, it was gone. The memory card was in my purse. I was lost. I cried a lot.”

Patricia’s son, Cole Brady Fogle was born in December but died of sudden infant death syndrome on February 22nd.

Patricia wrote on the fliers that the robber could keep the stolen tablet that all she wanted was her pictures back.

“And then I just lost it. I wrote a note with black crayon that said 'keep the tablet and phone but please return the memory card. It has pictures of my son. He died on February 22. He was two and a half months old.”

Patricia revealed she left her car unlocked in the hopes in whoever stole the pictures would return them to her.

Thankfully, Patricia received a text from her husband revealing that her memory card had been returned to her car. However, the purse and other stolen items still remain missing but Patricia said she is happy to have her photos of Cole back.

“I guess the thief has a potion of a heart. You just take things and you don't know what you're stealing from someone and what it means for that person or their family.”
