Bláthnaid Treacy is now a mum!
Congratulations are in order for Bláthnaid Treacy and her husband Charlie as they have welcomed the birth of their first child together.
The RTÉ presenter took to Instagram to share the exciting news with her 34.3K followers and revealed her daughter’s cute name.
Posting a selfie of herself, Charlie and the bundle of joy tucked up in bed, Bláthnaid revealed her baby girl is ‘the greatest love of our lives’.
She captioned the sweet post, “Nancy Claire Treacy-Mooney is here. Born on 28th June at 2.23pm, weighing 6lb 11oz and she is as cute as a button”.
“Thank you for making us a family Nancy, we love you to the moon and back, forever and ever”.
“Thank you for making me a mum @cha_moon_e , Nancy is the luckiest girl in the world to get to call you her dad, we love you endlessly”.
Treacy closed off by lovingly adding, “She is the greatest love of our lives and the flipping image of her dad”.
Many famous faces and fans of the Weekend Breakfast on 2fm host rushed to the comments to congratulate her and Charlie on the birth of Nancy.
Singer Una Healy wrote, “Congratulations to you both”, while broadcaster Louise McSharry penned, “Yay! Nancy is such a gorgeous name. Congrats”.
“Ah beautiful, super congratulations”, added Fair City actress Jenny Dixon.
Bláthnaid and Charlie announced they were expecting a little one together back in February.
The pair have been an item for over a decade now, with jazz musician Charlie proposing to Bláthnaid while they were on holiday in Mexico in 2018.
The lovebirds went on to tie the knot with a boho-style wedding in 2019 following a registry office ceremony days before.
Congratulations again to the new parents and we wish them well as they begin this new chapter of life together.
