After 4 years of marriage Sinead Desmond splits from husband David Ryan. Sinead's agent released a statement saying:
“On behalf of Sinead Desmond and David Ryan, it is with regret that after six years together Sinead Desmond and David Ryan have decided to end their marriage of four years.”
The lively Ireland AM presenter and business man David, met 6 years ago when Sinead returned to Dublin from a brief time working in the UK. They were engaged in 2008 and married in the South of France in 2009. Sinead confirmed that: 'There is no-else involved. David is a wonderful guy and we are still great friends. This is a private and personal matter and we hope you respect our privacy at this time. There will be no further comment from either David or myself,”
It has been revealed that the couple split over five months ago, and the news will definitely come as a shock to fans of the early morning show, although the rumours began some time ago, when viewers noticed she had stopped wearing her wedding ring.
Sinead has previously talked openly about the difficulties she and David experienced when it came to having children, but she said they hadn't given up hope. She also said that if it didn't happen naturally that she would be 'very happy to adopt or foster - fostering is something I've always wanted to do'
