Sinead Kennedy and Conor Kirwan welcome the birth of their first baby

Huge congratulations are in order for Irish presenter Sinead Kennedy who has welcomed the birth of her first child with husband Conor Kirwan.

Sinead announced the wonderful news on Instagram this morning, revealing that she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl a few days earlier. “Home a few days now and settling into life with the little one,” the new mum wrote alongside a sweet black and white image of husband Conor carrying their baby out of the hospital.

“Indie Kirwan is the most precious thing to have ever happened to us. We’re overcome with happiness and are feeling extremely grateful. We’ll love you forever baby girl,” the 37-year-old added, revealing their tiny tot’s gorgeous name.

Sinead then went on to thank the staff at  Cork University Hospital for looking after both mother and baby so well.

Since announcing her lovely news, Sinead’s post has been inundated with congratulatory comments and well wishes from friends, family and colleagues. 

Prime Time host Miriam O’Callaghan sweetly commented, “That’s such exciting news Sinead - a precious baby girl. Congrats to you both.”

Radio presenter Tracey Clifford simply wrote, “Congratulations,” followed by a stream of red heart emojis.

“Sinead!!!!!!!!!! Such fantastic news," Virgin Media presenter Lucy Kennedy gushed, adding, "Enjoy every second Mama.”

Congratulations to both Sinead and Conor on this exciting new chapter!
