Sisters in sync: Twin sisters give birth just an hour apart

These twin sisters have been in sync for their entire lives and motherhood has been no exception.

Bao Nhia Julia and Bao Kou Julie Yang recently went into labour at the same time.

The Yang sisters could not believe it when they found out they were both expecting and were even more shocked when their due dates were just two days apart.

“We shared a lot and everywhere we go, we go together," Bao Nhia told Your Central Valley.

The twins are connected by more than just their daily outings together.

Their bodies appear to have followed the other’s lead, giving birth to their babies on the same day.

"I started having like, I started spotting, so I think I knew that I was going to be in labor. And then I told her, and she was like, I'm having pain here and there too. I might be in there with you too,” said Bao Kou.

The Yang twins gave birth just an hour apart at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, California.

At just 23-years-old, the sisters are overjoyed to have shared this amazing experience together.

“Mine weighed seven pounds and three ounce," Bao Nhia said.

Her sister replied, "Mine is seven pounds exactly. Almost the same! It's like a miracle."

Laura Schleicher, a nurse who helped deliver the babies, has been working in the hospital’s maternity ward for nearly 18 years.

And this is the first time she has ever seen twin sisters give birth on the same day.

“All I did was deliver them. I didn't facilitate it or make it happen in any way. They just had great time, very unique timing,” she said.

The Yang sisters named their little ones Candra Thao and Nadalie Xiong.

And they will have the same birthday just like their mums.
