Dublin Zoo is always a wonderful place to bring the family for a day out. This April they have some extra special events that will not only introduce them to wonderful new hobbies but keep them happily entertained. So if your child enjoys reading, or has a love for nature and animals, then make sure you bring them to Dublin Zoo this month.

Junior Readers Club
The first in the Junior Readers Club series will take place on Saturday, April 9th with a book reading from Dolores Keaveney, best selling author of well known children’s book The Little Brown Hen. All little bookworms between the ages of nine and eleven are welcome. The Junior Readers Club takes place between 11am-12pm April 9th.

Bird Watching Morning for Beginners
If your child is a lover of wildlife the this is an activity they will really love. The Bird Watching Morning for beginners will teach wildlife lovers how to look out for and identify some of Ireland’s most well known birds. As active and energetic creatures, bird watching requires a quick eye and this workshop will help teach the tricks of the trade in a short space of time. All children between the ages of eight and 12 are welcome. Bird Watching for Beginners will take place on April 17th and May 15th at 11am-12pm.

Both the Junior Readers Club and the Bird Watching Mornings for Beginners are €10 for non-members and zoo members go free. Places are limited so advance booking is essential.
