Any mother out there will know that the first time you hold your baby is like no other – it’s so special that it cannot be replaced or forgotten. It seems that this rang true for US mum Jessica, who recently gave birth to her son Hugo, at 10 weeks premature.

A stunning video documenting the moment that Jessica first held Hugo was recently shared to the ‘Love What Matters’ Facebook page, capturing ‘the exact moment she fell in love with him’.

The video description reveals that Jessica didn’t get to hold her baby until almost three days after his birth, making the moment all the more special.

“After being delivered by C-section, he was quickly whisked away to the NICU to be evaluated. Jessica was only briefly able to see him as she needed to recover as well. It wasn’t until almost 60 hours later that Jessica was finally able to hold her baby boy for the first time,” the description explains.

The heart-warming footage has clocked up over six-and-a-half million views on Facebook, and is quite possibly the most beautiful thing you will see this week. Check it out below.
