He may well have been mistaken for a real life superhero but Tori Phillips is just an ordinary man with a big heart.
During a huge fire at a Texas apartment complex in the U.S., Tori came to the rescue of a family struggling to escape by catching their baby from a second story patio.
Tori faced the intense heat of the blaze to get close enough to the building to ensure he was able to catch the baby safely.
Fittingly, he was wearing a Superman sweatshirt at the time.
"I’d seen they needed help and they were scared to come down with their baby and I was like 'I’m right here, I’ll catch ‘em,'" he said. "So that’s what I did and then another dude helped get his wife down and then he jumped down and got them to safety."
Thanks to Tori, the family and their baby escaped the fire without any injury.
