If you have any horse-mad kids in the family, make sure to bring them along to the 2014 Tattersalls International Horse Trials and Country Fair in Ratoath, Co. Meath this June Bank Holiday.

In association with Horse Sport Ireland, the highly anticipated family event uniquely offers top class Eventing combined with a quintessential Country Fair.

Due to popular demand, all the Eventing action will start a day earlier this year, on Wednesday, 28th May and will again attract top international competitors including World Number 1 and 2 William Fox-Pit and Andrew Nicholson and recent Badminton winner Sam Griffiths.

The charming Country Fair is tailored especially for families and there is free admission for kids under 12. Families are also encouraged to bring along their dogs, so they can get in on the action and maybe win a special prize in the novelty dog show.

While there will be a whole host of actives for the family, including a fun fair, the stars of the show will no doubt be the special Mini Puissance Ponies. Known for their crazy coloured manes, glittery hooves and high jumping, the mini ponies are sure to be loved by kids and parents alike. The mini ponies will also be performing tricks and will defy gravity by jumping a puissance wall.

The country fair will also host a free Toddler Zone and older kids will be kept busy with bucking broncos, super bungee trampolines and an action-packed climbing wall in the Kids’ Activity Area.

If shopping is your thing, you’ll be glad to hear the Tattersalls’ Shopping Village will once again play host to Ireland’s leading country chic brands within a wide range of fantastic and eclectic shopping stands. Also new to the 2014 event is the Tattersalls Members Badge, which offers dedicated parking and exclusive access to the VIP lounge, sponsored by Kildare Village.
