With Easter holidays in full swing for children and parents alike, we took a trip to Tayto Park for some #familyfun.

Our mum-in-residence Laura took her brood of two, plus a friend, all aged between five and eight years, along to the crisp-themed adventure park for an afternoon of wonder and action-packed fun.

The children had all visited the park before, but it never fails to excite - especially as Tayto Park adds new rides and attractions to suit families of all ages, every year.

The theme park rides and play areas cater for children aged two years and up. And as well as that, there's a very impressive zoo and museum, so there really is something for everyone.

What's more, the ever-popular theme park and zoo is hosting an eggs-tra special treat with its Easter Egg Hunt this weekend for all visitors.

With Easter-themed face painting, arts and crafts, and lots more egg-tastic experiences, it's safe to say the kids won't be bored. Of course, there will be a delicious chocolate egg for all the successful Easter detectives who solve the mystery of the stolen egg!

My children love racing around the Spiral Mound, testing their agility skills on the multiple Climbing Walls, enjoying the theme park rides, and watching the animals at feeding time in the zoo.

Parents need not worry about keeping their children fuelled with wholesome food and refreshments, as the multiple restaurants offer healthy choices as well as ice-cream treats for dessert.

Family picnics can also be enjoyed at a variety of locations throughout the park for those who prefer to bring their own snacks.

Thankfully, we spotted Mr Tayto walking around the park before we headed home, so we could say an all-important 'hello' and 'thank you' for such a fantastic day!
