Teenage pregnancy can be a frightening ordeal, especially if you haven’t shared your news with those around you – something which has been illustrated in the following report, from China.
A teenage girl and her newborn baby are said to be in good condition this weekend, after the girl gave birth in a gymnasium toilet during a national volleyball tournament.
According to local reports, the girl – from Zhejiang in China – went into labour during the match and, scared, placed her baby outside the building in some bushes. She then went back to the match – part of the national under-18s women’s volleyball championship, which was being filmed.
Thankfully, a passer-by found the baby and went into the building to find the mother. The teen was found resting at the side of the volleyball court, and the alarm was raised.
The teen and her baby were both rushed to hospital for treatment and, fortunately, they are both said to be doing fine after the ordeal.
