Teenage boy in critical condition following collision in Cork

A teenage boy has suffered critical injuries following a two vehicle collision in Cork.

The injured boy is reportedly 16-years-old. He was rushed to Cork University Hospital and is said to be in a critical but stable condition.

The accident occurred on the Innishannon to Crossbarry Road shortly before 2.30 pm.

Three other adults were injured in the collision.

The road is currently closed and motorists have been advised to avoid the area.

The Gardaí have asked anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
