The best personalised Christmas decorations ideas for your family
Traditions, sharing and celebration are all part of Christmas. Each year, we all look forward to decorating for the holidays making sure that every detail is perfect.  Not every family can afford to change their holiday decorations every year, so we suggest adding a few small sentimental personalised Christmas decorations each year that will bring your home alive.  They don’t have to cost the earth but when you do order online you will ideally pick from the biggest selection of personalised Christmas decorations so you don’t have to order from multiple stores.  Here are our favourite ideas to make bring the magic of Christmas alive in your home this year.

Shine a light on the stairs by decorating them with sparkles
We do love a pretty Christmas hallway idea and this one is super simple and you don’t need to buy anything new.  You can make your banister come alive by draping it with a glistening garland – if you don’t have one then foraging for much-love Christmas fir or eucalyptus leaves will work just as well.   Add a set of fairy light in a warm white colour weaving them in between the banister to add extra sparkle.   You could just leave it there but if time allows, add some (ideally) unbreakable baubles, velvet bows or satin ribbon to deliver some serious va va voom.  When it comes to Christmas lights in a hallway, always opt for a high number of lights (minimum 200) as this will create serious wow-factor when making an entrance.

Personalised Christmas Decorations
There is nothing nicer than the tradition of buying or gifting a personalised Christmas decorations for a loved one.  Transparent baubles with photos for the Christmas tree can be an annual purchase that the family will value in the years to come – each year adding a new photo taken before the holiday season arrives.

We also love eco-friendly personalised wooden Christmas tree ornaments too as they will stand the test of time far longer than their plastic counterparts.  Personalise each wooden tree ornament with a child’s name to make it a keepsake for life.

Create a budget-friendly and joyful Christmas wall hanging.
A row of brightly wrapped presents hanged from a rustic branch or pole would make an incredibly simple wall hanging for a long hallway or corridor.  Each box can be empty or if you are gifting small items this year, it’s also a pretty way to present little gifts for the family.  The beauty of this decoration is it’s a sustainable and environmentally friendly way to use up left over wrapping paper, Christmas ribbon and gift-wrap scraps which would other be binned.   Buy some strong wall hooks to suspend the brand and use plain twine to attach the gifts to the branch to deliver a more Nordic feel to the piece.

Repurpose jam jars into candle holders
Jam jars can be made prettier by dipping them in eco glitter and some sand. Simply tape off an area of the glass that is near the jar's bottom, spread glue over it and then shake colourful sand over it or dip it in glitter.  Remove the tape after allowing to dry.  Add a small candle and fill with sand to hold the candle in place. Dress the top with string and embellishments for further detail.  Alternatively, you could buy the best personalised scented candles which have your personal message etched onto the glass and contain a candle a scent of your choice.

Christmas paper stars
What better festive project could there be on a wet and wild Sunday afternoon than to make these paper star decorations for your tree?  They are so easy to make and you can make them from old books, wrapping paper or any craft paper that you may have around.  The trick is that the paper cannot be too thick, otherwise it won’t fold neatly.    Along with paper, you will also need a ruler, double sided sticky tape, twine and a pair of scissors.  Take an A5 piece of paper and accordion fold it back and forward until it resembles a paper fan.  Next fold the finished fan over on itself (this will be the centre of your star).  Using double sided sticky take stick the two sides together.  Repeat on the other side, tie with twine and you are ready to hang the star.

Pretty-up presents with Christmas decoration leftovers
Transform your gifts by finishing them with the leftovers from your Christmas decoration box.  There are always bits and pieces that you don’t use or that may be broken and they are ideal to transform your wrapping.  Take scraps of foliage, tiny baubles or even broken bits of mistletoe or berries and slip them under the ribbon that you have used to secure your brown paper wrapping.   It’s not only a clever way to use them up, but your gifts will look fabulous too.

Create an easy bauble chandelier
Make your own hanging decoration to go over a dining table or centre stage in a hallway. Use an inexpensive plastic hula-hula hoop as your base, either spray-painting it or covering it with tape or string to conceal it. Then simply tie on a selection of coloured Christmas baubles, arranged at staggered heights. Suspend from the ceiling with string or fishing wire.
