Saddle up for an event sure to keep the whole family entertained this summer, as the Discover Ireland Dublin Horse Show, Ireland’s premier equestrian event is back for its annual showcase from the 5-9th of August 2015. Featuring the very best show jumpers from around the world, the show has become an institution in Dublin, welcoming tens of thousands of people each year from Ireland and across the world.
 
The first show was held in 1864 and since then it has become one of the largest equestrian events in the word and is considered to be one of the highlights of the summer, here in Ireland.
Enjoy the excitement and thrill of international show jumping with the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup day and the Land Rover Puissance or the action packed pony club games.
 
With showing classes and national jumping classes, music each day and of course there will be plenty of entertainment for all children visiting the show with a packed programme of events over the five days, such as magic shows, bouncy castles and pony rides, it really is an event for the whole family to enjoy!
 
While the kids off having fun, why not indulge in a little retail therapy as the Dublin Horse Show is also a great place to shop. With over 300 trade stands offering a wide range of equestrian items, clothing, gifts and accessories available, you will be spoiled for choice!
 
For the ‘foodies’ there are many tasty offerings available with numerous cafes, restaurants and a food court available on site. And for those visitors with a keen eye for the arts, experience the best Ireland has to offer at the RDS Student Art Awards and RDS National Craft Awards exhibitions, with specific prizes in Craft to celebrate Year of Design 2015.
 
What’s more, the show also hosts a hugely popular ‘Ladies’ Day’ with Dundrum Town Centre as the title sponsor of the day. This will take place on Thursday the 6th of August. The ‘Dundrum Town Centre Best Dressed Lady’ will receive a prize package worth up to €10,000. Other prize categories on the day include ‘Great Lengths Most Creative Hat’, ‘HP Most Colourful Outfit’, ‘Longines Elegance is an Attitude’ and 'Louis Copeland Best Dressed Man'.
 
Model and blogger, Pippa O’Connor, TV presenter Laura Woods and fashion editor of the Irish Independent Bairbre Power, will judge the event. Ladies’ Day at the Dublin Horse Show is not to be missed, it promises to be a fun filled day that is guaranteed to bring out your inner fashionista. The Discover Ireland Dublin Horse Show will take place in the RDS from Wednesday the 5th of August to Sunday the 9th of August and will open Wednesday to Saturday from 7am -8pm and Sunday from 7am to 7pm.
