The Duchess of Sussex makes surprise appearance at Wimbledon

The Duchess of Sussex made a surprise appearance at Wimbledon this afternoon and she looked stunning. Meghan took a break from maternity leave to support her dear friend Serena Williams at the sporting event.

Meghan attended The Championships, Wimbledon at the All England Lawn Tennis Club this afternoon with her friends from university, Lyndsay Roth and Genevieve Hillis.

The mum opted for a casual outfit for the outing. She donned a pair of blue jeans, a black vest top and a striped white blazer.

Meghan wore her hair in her signature updo and a pair of black sunglasses.

The new mum also wore quite the special accessory to the outing. Meghan was spotted wearing a gorgeous gold necklace with an ‘A’ charm on it. The necklace is clearly a nod to her baby boy Archie.

Meghan is expected to remain on maternity leave until the end of the summer. She has made rare appearances since welcoming Archie on May 6. She recently attended Trooping the Colour and joined husband Prince Harry at the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox at an MLB game in London.

The new mum is gearing up for quite the momentous occasion this weekend as Archie’s christening is set to take place on Saturday, July 6.

A number of  Harry and Meghan’s close friends and family members will attend the christening this weekend, including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Charles and Doria Ragland.

It’s great to see Meghan taking some time to herself. Every new mum understands just how intense and overwhelming those first few months can be.
