The Duchess of Sussex flew to New York to watch her best friend Serena Williams in the US Open this weekend. The new mum certainly had the most enjoyable time watching her friend compete, but there’s no doubt she was missing her baby boy Archie and her husband, Prince Harry.
Meghan, who has been on maternity leave for the past few months, looked as beautiful as ever in a denim J.Crew midi dress with a grey cardigan draped over her shoulders.
Meghan opted for simple accessories and we just can’t get enough of the necklaces she wore to the game. The former actress paid tribute to her son and husband with her gold necklaces. The dainty necklace featured Harry and Archie’s initials on the pendant.
It is understood that the necklaces are by jewellery brand Mini Mini Jewels. They’ll cost you a whopping £125, but we’re sure you’ll easily find a cheaper alternative out there.
The Duchess is set to return to her royal duties later this week so the trip came at the perfect time.
Meghan will host a launch for her capsule workwear collection on September 12. The mum will deliver a speech which will be followed by a panel discussion with women who have been supported by Smart Works.
Smart Works aims to lift disadvantaged women out of poverty by offering them work clothes and workplace skills.
John Lewis, Misha Nonoo, Marks and Spencer and Jigsaw have come together to support this initiative.
The collection will follow the 1:1 model where an item from the collection purchased is an item shared with a woman of Smart Works because “not only does this allow us to be part of each other’s story; it reminds us we are in it together.”
We can’t wait to see Meghan back in action on Thursday.
