There’s something about watching TV shows and movies set in New England, US, in autumn. The houses are stunningly decorated to reflect the season and the changing scenes of nature outside, and it gives us major home-envy.

When we want to bring a little ‘New England’ into our own homes for parties and gatherings, these apple candles are just the trick – and they are SO easy to make.

What you will need:

Apples

A sharp knife and spoon

Tea lights

A cake stand

What to do:

  1. Take your first apple and, using a sharp knife and a spoon, make a shallow hole at the very top, wide enough to support your tea light.
  2. Drop your tea light into the apple, ensuring the candle flame won’t touch the wax.
  3. Repeat the step with a whole bunch of apples, and arrange them on a cake stand.
  4. Light your tea lights, then let the beautiful autumnal scene astound your guests.

Tip: Always ensure your candles are stable, safe and kept well away from flammable materials.
