If you have a baby nest lying around at home which you use with your little one on a daily basis, then you might want to have a good look at it.

A baby nest has been urgently recalled and parents are advised to stop using this product immediately.

Babycare International Limited have recalled the Tineo Reducteur de lit evolutif baby nest as some suffocation risks were recently discovered.

The CCPC have reported that several safety issues were identified, involving a risk of suffocation when the head of a baby placed in the wrong direction may get trapped in the gap with the bumper part covering his/her mouth and nose.

They have also noted a risk that the baby would make sleep movements towards the side of the nest with his/her nose and mouth becoming completely covered by the material.

Furthermore, there’s a third  risk of strangulation due to the presence of long cords not bar tacked.

Reportedly there are 14 units of the baby nest in the Republic of Ireland.

Tackling this issue, owners have been urgently advised to stop using their baby nest immediately and return it to Babycare International for a full refund.
