This Dublin Hotel Is Doing Easter Egg Hunts So You Dont Have To

The Easter holidays are nearly here, which means the countdown to school holiday madness has officially begun. If you're already mentally bracing yourself for two weeks of "I'm bored" on repeat and the fridge being emptied at an alarming rate... same. But what if this year you just... didn't do that to yourself?

InterContinental Dublin is offering an Easter family package that genuinely sounds like a proper break. Not just a change of scenery where you're still doing all the work in a different postcode. An actual rest. With someone else making breakfast. And a pool. And a spa.

What's included in the Easter package?

The package runs from 28th March to 11th April and includes an overnight stay in a Deluxe Double family room with breakfast for everyone. So yes, you can sit down and eat something hot while it's still hot. Revolutionary stuff.

There'll be Easter-themed treats waiting in the room when you arrive (the kids will lose their minds, obviously) and throughout the week the hotel is running complimentary Easter activities. The big one? An Easter egg hunt in the gardens on Easter Sunday morning. If you've ever tried to hide eggs around your own house while simultaneously making sure the dog doesn't find them first, you'll appreciate someone else taking over this particular operation.

From Friday to Tuesday, there'll also be cinema evenings at 4pm daily with children's movies plus snacks and drinks for little ones. That's basically two hours of peace while they're entertained. You could read a book. Or just stare at a wall in silence. Both valid options.

For the adults (because you matter too)

The hotel has a 14-metre heated indoor pool which is ideal for wearing the kids out before dinner. But here's the bit that caught my attention: the spa has just been refurbished. So while the children are occupied with egg hunts and movie screenings, there's a genuine window for you to slip away and remember what relaxation feels like.

Complimentary parking is included too, which is one less thing to think about when you're loading up the car with roughly 47 bags for a one-night stay. (Why do children need so much stuff? No one knows.)

Location and booking details

InterContinental Dublin is in Ballsbridge, close to the city centre but with that lovely feeling of being slightly removed from it all. Sandymount Strand and Herbert Park are both within walking distance, so if the weather cooperates you've got options for tiring everyone out before bedtime.

The one-night Easter package starts from €509 per room for stays between 28th March and 11th April. You can book directly at www.intercontinentaldublin.ie or call (01) 665 4000.

Look, I'm not saying you deserve a fancy hotel stay with someone else doing the eggs and the breakfast and the entertainment... but also, you absolutely do. Two weeks is a long time. Pace yourself.
