Usually when giving birth, we mums like to be left well alone – this wasn’t the case for Stephen Skinner’s wife, however!

Stephen, aka Nomadi Daddy, and his wife, Holly - affectionately known as The Tiny Mamma - have made headlines for live-streaming the birth of their first child.

The couple documented the entire pregnancy journey for YouTube channel Channel Mum, and they weren’t about to leave viewers disappointed when the time came for their son to enter the world.

While the couple had initially planned a water birth, the tot’s head moved in such a way that doctors had to carry out a C-section.

In the video, Holly is seen tearing up in her hospital bed, before Stephen scrubs up for the procedure.

Baby Atlas entered the world on December 26, with over 100,000 people witnessing the birth alongside them.

Speaking afterwards, Stephen admitted: “There are difficult points, and part of you does think, ‘This is real. Put the camera down’”.

“But Holly and I are both really happy that we did manage to capture the down moments as well as the high, elated moments…the birth was one of the most beautiful things both of us have experienced.”

The videos were all recorded live, then uploaded and shared on the channel in the days after.

“I’ve watched the videos a million times, and I cry every single time,” gushed proud dad Stephen.
