We think we’ve seen it all, now! Just months after incredible footage emerged of a baby born en-caul (in other words, still inside the amniotic sac), a video of a baby ‘delivering himself’ has made its way online.

Mum Sarah Saunders took to YouTube to share the amazing video of her son’s birth last year, and encouraged those women who couldn’t have a ‘natural’ birth to try a ‘natural Caesarean’.

Explaining the process, Sarah wrote: “In this amazing video, my son delivers himself after the surgeon helps his head out. The team at Torbay (Hospital) were phenomenal and gave me a birth experience I will cherish forever.”

It’s fascinating to see this baby emerging from his mother’s body, and watching how his own tiny body manoeuvres to enter this new world.

As you can imagine, the video has been making waves online. While some people are just as amazed and captivated as we are by the process however, others are not raising their hands to follow in Sarah’s footsteps.

“I’m all for natural births, but I just found a natural Caesarean video and [I don’t know] if I can get on board with a babe crawling out of me,” tweeted one woman.

So, what is your opinion on natural Caesareans? Would you opt for one with your next baby?
