We spend a lot of time resting during our pregnancy, and so when our babies finally make their welcome arrival into the world, it’s exciting to get back into an active routine.

There’s nothing quite like getting your little one tucked up in their buggy, and embracing the outdoors for some fresh air and light exercise – it’s fantastic for both Mum and Baby.

While you want a gentle workout, the last thing you need is to be struggling to push the buggy across rough terrain. So, if you’re looking for the perfect buggy-friendly walk, we have some suggestions for you.

1. The Phoenix Park
The Phoenix Park is always a great place to head out with the family for a walk. Its 11 km perimeter wall encloses one of the largest parks in any European city. Parking is available on Chesterfield Avenue and a number of other locations in the park. There are plenty of walking loops, and there is always a chance you will catch a glimpse of the wild fallow deer who live in the park.

2. Marlay Park
Another great spot, Marlay Park offers a range of facilities, and has well-kept paths, coffee shops and playgrounds. You and your little bundle can take in the gorgeous scenery of the pond, wood and green areas during the week; and you can come back with the whole family at the weekend for the food market. Don’t forget to check out the walled garden and the fairy tree!
