Tributes paid to three-year-old boy who died in Wexford farm accident

Tributes have been pouring in after a three-year-old boy was tragically killed in a farming accident in Co. Wexford yesterday afternoon.

The young boy was reportedly knocked down by a low loader on the farm.

He was transported to Wexford General Hospital but he succumbed to his serious injuries and was pronounced dead a short time later.

Local Cllr John O’Rourke told Independent.ie that the entire community in Enniscorthy is ‘numb’ with grief.

He told the publication: “Enniscorthy has experienced a number of deaths in recent weeks and this latest tragedy has really hit everyone to the core.”

Gardaí are currently investigating this harrowing accident. Our thoughts are with the family of the young boy during this traumatic time.
