Is it teething time for your little one?

These tricks won’t take you back to your young, care-free days, but they will certainly help you achieve a more youthful glow. And while there is nothing wrong with embracing our changing appearances, that doesn’t mean we have to stop taking care of ourselves.

Here are 10 anti-ageing tricks that will keep you looking forever young – kind of.

1. Sun cream

Make sure you wear sun cream during the day, even in the winter and when it’s cloudy – choose a moisturiser that has an SPF.

2. Exfoliate

Make sure you exfoliate your face at least once a week to remove dead skin cells, and allow your products to penetrate your skin.

3. Sleep on your back

Keeping your face off your pillow will help prevent wrinkles forming, and will also give your clearer, firmer skin.

4. Vitamin C

This will improve and brighten skin texture, and help to reduce the appearance of brown spots.

5. Stay hydrated

Dry skin can lead to premature ageing, so stock up on plenty of moisturiser suitable for your skin type.

6. Skip the salt

Too much salt in your diet can lead to under-eye bags, so increase your water intake and use an eye cram containing liquorice or algae.

7. Peel it off

Get rid of dead skin cells and give your face a nice, bright glow with an at-home peel that contains glycolic, lactic or alphahydroxy acids.

8. Prep and primer

Always use a primer to stop your foundation getting into the fine lines and creases, giving you a much smoother look.

9. Get the right foundation

Going for a heavy foundation that is too dark or light will only make you look older. Remember, your skin changes with each decade so make sure you choose your shade accordingly.

10. Cream blush

Finally, skip the powdered blush and opt for a cream one – it blends in more naturally and will add a much-needed glow.
