To be told that your baby has a less-than-one percent chance of survival is devastating beyond words, but this couple from Arizona always believed that their little one would pull through.

When Ron and Nadia welcomed their daughter Esther Grace just 23 weeks into their pregnancy, they were told to prepare themselves for the worst – but, against all odds, the tot is now thriving.

Nadia was 18 weeks into her pregnancy when her waters broke earlier this year, and doctors told her and Ron to expect a miscarriage. However, the couple’s little one held out for another five weeks to be born, in April, weighing just 1lb 4oz.

Despite being given a less-than-one percent chance of survival, tiny Esther Grace fought to beat the odds and is now up to 1lb 6oz, and thriving.

The parents, who met during a mission trip, hail their faith – and the prayers of their friends from around the world – as the driving force behind Esther Grace’s ‘miraculous’ survival.

“I just see a miracle. God is amazing to create such a tiny thing with perfect hands and perfect feet,” Nadia told local news.

With medical bills quickly mounting, however, the couple have turned to crowd-funding (link here) to help Esther Grace along the long journey ahead.

We’re wishing the tot all the best.
