Vogue Williams shares photo from her first time breastfeeding in public

Vogue Williams has always been honest about every step of motherhood and her latest post is no different. The inspiring mum took to Instagram to open up about her first time breastfeeding in public.

Many mums know just how daunting this can be, especially when people feel the need to throw disapproving looks your way.

Despite her nerves, Vogue fed her baby boy Theodore proudly.

She wrote: “My first time breastfeeding in public...I remember feeling so embarrassed, sweating profusely and desperately trying to hide my newly enormous nipples!”

Luckily a close friend of Vogue’s was there to reassure her that what she was doing is completely natural and acceptable: “I was soon calmed down by my pal and the feed went well, I would feed without a thought anywhere now!”

The mum, who gave birth to her son in September, shared that she has stopped breastfeeding in the day time.

She explained: “I’ve dropped my daytime breastfeeds and am now only doing the night and morning. I always wanted to get to about six months but I never thought I would feel this sad about stopping.”

The doting mum added: “Our first baby almost done with breast milk!”

She then turned to her fellow mums to ask about the best formula to use.

Mums were quick to offer their suggestions and praised Vogue for her honesty.

One commented: “Well done for getting to 6 months!”

“My God, six months is fantastic ,well done you mum,” another added.

Another said: “We need more role models for young women to encourage breastfeeding. The rates in the UK are so low. Length of time feeding is a contract between you and the baby. Well done!”
