Want to give your skin some love? This mango radiance facial peel is the ideal treat

Now that the autumnal weather is well and truly here, I am already struggling with the harsh effects that it is having on my skin. Dry patches, lack of radiance and endlessly tired looks - this is not what I signed up for!

Luckily, the wonderful team at Thérapie have devised a gorgeous facial treatment that is guaranteed to give your skin the love and attention it needs with the changing of seasons.

At the moment, I am obsessed with their Mango Radiance facial peel. If you have never heard of a facial peel before, this is essentially a treatment that, over time, allows dry, dead skin to be cleared from your face. It’s a lot less scarier than it sounds!

The mango peel is specifically designed to target issues such as sensitivity, rosacea and dehydration. Infused with vitamin C, orange stem cells and kojic acid, your skin will be treated to the heights of luxury.

To try out the mango-infused treatment, I was recently invited along to the Thérapie Clinic branch on Molesworth Street in Dublin. Upon entering the reception, I felt immediately calm and relaxed by the beautiful spa music, elegant surroundings and the incredibly friendly staff.

Facial expert Zaiga ensured that I felt content at all times during the treatment, and always made sure to ask if any products were irritating my skin or felt uncomfortable when applied. We ranked everything on a scale from 1 to 5 - 1 being comfortable, and 5 being, “This product needs to be taken off my face right now”. Thankfully, I didn’t feel the need to go past number 3 on the scale!

My face was treated to a mixture of cleansers, before the main event of the facial began - the peel. As I had never had a facial peel before, I wasn’t sure what to expect. In my head, I was imagining that it could be similar to one of those quick 10-minute face masks, which you peel off your face when the product has dried. However, this facial peel was not like that at all!

Once it was on my face, it gave my skin such a lovely, tingly, and refreshed feeling. After a few minutes, Zaiga wiped the product off with some cool, soothing damp towels, and informed me that moisurising is key for a few days after this facial, to ensure that your skin retains its moisture as it begins to slowly shed the dead skin cells.

One of the last products to be included in the facial was Thérapie’s mango face mask. Although it felt a bit more intense on my skin, the results of it were incredible. My face felt amazing afterwards, and you really could smell the mango fragrance as it was being applied, which was such a lovely added bonus!

When the facial was complete, I was given a few minutes to slowly ease out of relaxation mode and collect my belongings. I couldn’t believe how glowy and radiant my face looked when I glanced in the mirror. My skin felt wonderfully smooth too, and continued as such for a few days afterwards.

If you are looking to treat yourself or a loved one to a relaxing and luxurious pampering, then I would highly recommend this mango facial peel from Thérapie - trust me, your skin will thank you for it!

The Skin Theory Mango Radiance Peel can be booked at any Thérapie branch here, for the price of €99.95.
