WEEE Ireland organises public collection events of waste electrical and electronic equipment (weee) and waste batteries.  See the listing below for the upcoming collection events and follow us on facebook for more updates.

Any household item with a plug or battery will be accepted at these collection events – from large items such as fridges, dishwashers and tumble-dryers, to small household items such as hair straighteners, batteries, baby monitors, bottle warmers, food blenders and even old toys can also be recycled! All waste batteries will be accepted free of charge, including AA and AAA batteries, torch batteries, watch batteries, car batteries and electric fence batteries.

Local authority civic amenity sites will also accept your household WEEE and all batteries free of charge. You can check our website for your nearest civic amenity site. And Remember when you purchase a new electrical item your retailer will take back the old good for you on a one-for-one like-for-like basis and all shops that sell batteries must take back your waste batteries for free recycling, regardless of whether you purchase anything in their store. So crack on with that spring clean, gather up the broken toys and have that ‘man cave’ tackled!

Keep your home clean and green!
