Entering its seventh year, the ice rink in Mahon Point is one of the most popular locations for ice skating in Ireland, just off the South Link Road and conveniently located on the grounds of one of the city’s favorite shopping destinations. Advance ticket sales have been stronger than ever before, with plenty planning ahead for their Winter outings, as well as numerous corporate and school groups booking in for nights out.
Launching from Friday, November 8 and running through until Sunday 26 January, the ice rink will be open daily for public sessions, seeing Cork through another unforgettable festive season.
With sessions running every 70 mins, Cork on Ice is set to welcome thousands of skaters over the 11 week period.
Now improved for 2013/14, the unmistakable Cork on Ice event marquee offers an impressive Igloo-style entrance, customer-friendly reception area, lockers and viewing areas, new chalet-style café and kids gingerbread house under an airy ceiling decorated with twinkling Christmas lights.
