She is known for not holding back when it comes to sharing her opinions, and we absolutely love Adele for her straight-talking ways – maybe even as much as we adore her music.

The Hello singer has yet again proven why we are all so fascinated by her, after sharing her thoughts on the pressure put on women to breastfeed.

Branding the pressure ‘ridiculous’, the 27-year-old – who is mum to three-year-old son Angelo – was typically candid as she blasted those who make mothers feel bad for not nursing their little ones.

When asked for her thoughts on the topic by a member of the audience at a London gig, the singer replied: “You know what, the pressure on us is f**king ridiculous, and all those people who put pressure on us, you can go f**k yourselves, alright? Because it's hard. Some of us can't do it!”

“I managed about nine weeks with my boobs (I mean, I trip over them – I’ve got a very good push-up bra). Some of my mates got postnatal depression from the way those midwives were talking. Idiots. Breastfeed if you can, but don’t worry - Aptamil’s just as good,” she said, to cheers from her adoring fans.

Of course, Adele couldn’t let her rant go without a typically hilarious analogy, which was met with roars of laughter from the crowd.

She added: “I mean, I loved it, all I wanted to do was breastfeed, and then I couldn’t; and then I felt like, ‘If I was in the jungle now back in the day, my kid would be dead because my milk’s gone.’”

The award-winning singer’s comments come just over a week after celebrity chef Jamie Oliver found himself in hot water for suggesting that breastfeeding is ‘easy’.

After coming in for major criticism from offended parents, the father-of-four came out to clarify his comments, tweeting: “I understand that breastfeeding is often not easy and, in some cases, not even possible, but just wanted to support women who DO breastfeed and make it easier for them to do so. "

We didn’t think it was possible, but we love Adele more than ever!
