The star’s eldest daughter, 19-year-old model Ireland, proved this yesterday by sharing a hilarious text exchange with him to the world.
It all started when Ireland was pictured out and about with actress Olivia Wilde’s ex-husband, Tao Ruspoli, and it wasn’t long before the gossip sites were suggesting that romance could be on the cards.
Clearly amused by one particular article about the alleged budding romance, the father-of-three decided to text his daughter and ask her straight up what was going on.
In a text exchange shared by Ireland to Instagram, Alec is seen to have sent her on a link to the article, hilariously captioned with: “Ooooooooooo.”
“Well…? Are you getting married?...Am I going to be a grandfather?” writes a highly amused Alec, while Ireland merely brushes off his suggestions.
In a caption that many teens will no doubt be able to identify with, Ireland writes: “This is what happens when you get coffee with friends. You get coffee and then you get pregnant and then it spirals out of control from there…”
