What you need 
- Kitchen paper roll cut in two
- Christmas wrapping paper
- Sticky tape or glue
- Ribbon
- Cracker snaps (you can get these from a craft shop)
- Paper hats
- Jokes (the kids will love to help writing these)
- Novelty gifts (sweets, chocolate, small toys)
How to make your Christmas crackers
- Put the wrapping paper around the tube and stick it with glue or tape
- Add cracker snap and secure one end of the cracker tightly with a ribbon
- Get the children to write a joke on a piece of paper
- Insert paper hats, jokes and novelty items into the cracker and tie at the other end
- You can use wrapping paper to co-ordinate with your Christmas themes
