Sam Faiers is used to controversy by now, but we reckon she was not expecting the following reaction to her latest Instagram video.

The Mummy Diaries star took to social media to share adorable footage of baby Paul in the car, smiling along to a song on the radio.

“Words can’t describe my love for you, my baby…You make me laugh all day long,” read the caption.

In the video, the 11-month-old can be seen sitting in his car seat, which has been placed sideways in the back of the car.

And it didn’t take long for eagle-eyed followers to express their concern over the positioning of Paul’s seat.

“Sam – using the car seat like this is not safe. The swivel is only to help get the child in and out. It has to be clicked into place once the child has been restrained and the car is moving,” observed one mother.

A fellow mum chimed in: “I second the car seat not being safe like that! It needs to face the back when the harness is in use and the car is moving!”

Others were highly critical of the ‘mummy police’, however, and were quick to leap to Sam’s defence.

“The car isn’t even bloody moving. God, people can be so judgemental, especially when it’s someone in the public eye. I’m sure when she bought the car seat she was aware of what she can and can’t do with it. So patronising,” another added.

Sam has yet to respond to the criticism, but we reckon she is well used to it by now!
