She previously lent her support to the No Kids Policy, which aims to protect the children of celebrities from the paparazzi, so it’s clear that Halle Berry has strong feelings on the subject.

Indeed, the X-Men star was keen to reiterate her beliefs yesterday, when she was quizzed over her decision to crop out her children’s faces out of her Instagram feed.

The 50-year-old, who is mum to eight-year-old Nahla and three-year-old Maceo, didn’t mince her words as she replied to a follower who accused her of ‘hiding her children’s beautiful faces’.

“I’ve noticed you have said this several times now, so let me be clear – I’m not at all ashamed of my children. I try to find creative ways to incorporate them into my feed because they are the biggest part of my life, but I also work very hard to keep their identities as private as I can considering they are only children,” she explained.

The star, who is estranged from third husband Olivier Martinez, went on to reference her ‘duty’ as a mother.

“It’s my belief, and I’m not criticising others who have different beliefs, that it’s my job as their mother to protect their privacy as best I can. When they grow and they’re of age and they want to share their images on the internet; that will be for them to decide, not me,” she added.

Halle was praised by the majority of her Insta-followers for her stance.
