We have to congratulate anyone who uses their creative talents to make parenting that little bit easier, which is why Australian mum Laleh Mohmedi is our hero this weekend.

The Melbourne-based mum has become a viral sensation thanks to the amazing works of art she creates on a daily basis using her two-year-old son Jacob’s meals.

In order to make mealtimes that little bit more interesting for her tot, Laleh arranges the food into Jacob’s favourite characters and then shares them on her Instagram account, ‘Jacob’s Food Diaries’.

From Minions to Simba from The Lion King, no character is too elaborate for Laleh, who asks Jacob to put in his food order the night before.

Speaking to Buzzfeed, Laleh explained: “Each meal roughly takes between 20 and 35 minutes. It’s all in the preparation – I make all the cold elements first, then make the hot elements at the end.”

Laleh’s creations are composed of everything from wholemeal pancakes and colourful fruits to lentils and spinach – so Jacob is not only getting plenty of entertainment from these meals, but also all the nutrition he needs!

We think we know where we’ll be going for inspiration the next time our little one refuses their lunch!
