Well, it's certainly been a wonderful day for baby news!

With Ashley Cole reportedly expecting his first child with model girlfriend Sharon Canu, it has now been revealed that Rolling Stones legend, Ronnie Wood, is set to become a dad again!

According to The Sun, the 68-year-old music icon is preparing to welcome twins into the life he shares with threatre production company owner and wife of three years Sally Humphreys.

It is understood that the couple, who wed six months after their first date, had been hoping to have children together, with an insider revealing: "Ever since marrying Sally it has always been a possibility for them. They never ruled it out."

Ronnie, who is already a proud father-of-four, is said to be overjoyed by the news and eagerly anticipating the arrival of his children, with a source close to the couple explaining: "He can't wait to be a dad again, and doesn't think his age is a problem at all. He still feels very young and fit."

And it seems the star, whose son Jesse welcomed a second child into the life he shares with wife Fearne Cotton in recent months, has been looking forward to the big reveal.

Commenting on the news, a source reveals that the couple were stunned to learn they were expecting twins, saying: "It was a huge shock to learn they were to have twins. But he's more than up for the challenge. Ronnie is so excited. They've had their 12 week scan and have now started telling everyone."

Speaking previously, 37-year-old Sally acknowledged that while she and Ronnie hoped to start a family together, they were unsure whether it would become a reality.

Opening up about the couple's intentions with regards the possibility of having children, Sally said: "I do think that would be wonderful, but I don’t know if it will happen. I hope so."

The couple, who tied the knot in the Dorchester Hotel in 2012, are expecting their children next year.

Congratulations, guys!
